Battle of Badr

Battlefield Muslims camped behind palm trees 1000 Malaaikah descended on this spot Mushrikeen buried in this well Qabrastan of Shuhadaa of Badr in the far end The Battle of Badr is also known as the Battle of Furqaan – distinguishing between truth and falsehood – share with a friend named FURQAAN Lessons from Battle of Badr (points from Ziyaarat talk with Ml Jeena @madinahmemos) Badr teaches us that its not numbers that matter (sahabah were 313 and mushrikeen were over 1000) Badr teaches us that its not resources that matter(Some sahabah had no arms – some had only sticks yet mushrikeen were armed to the best) Badr teaches that its not being well fed that counts(Sahabah hadnt eaten properly for days yet mushrikeen were slaughtering 10 camels to feed their army) Badr teaches us that its not being well trained that counts(Mushrikeen were all well oiled yet the sahabahs were battle rusty) Badr teaches us that the means are nothing without the permission of Allah Allah has made this world a place of means, cause and effect, asbaab – but the means are nothing without the will of Allah  The actual battle field extended until the qabrastan. We know this because martys are buried where they were killed. The sahabahs fought bravely as they were killed far from their camp. 70 mushrikeen were killed. No time to bury them all so Nabi Sallallahu alayhi wa salaam asked for the bodies of the leaders and they were placed in a well. Abdullah bin Masood RA went to look for Abu Jahal at the end of the battle – he cut off his head. Nabi Sallallahu alayhi wa salaam stood at the well where the bodies of mushrikeen were placed and said to the effect – We have found the promise of Allah to be true. He Sallallahu alayhi wa salaam then addressed those dead bodies inside the well and ask them if they also found the promise of Allah to be true (i.e. their torment and suffering). Umar bin Khattab RA asked Nabi Sallallahu alayhi wa salaam if they can hear him (since they are dead). Nabi Sallallahu alayhi wa salaam replied to the effect – they can hear me better than you can hear me.  18 – 19 years ago someone planted some date trees. He reopened the well wherein the mushrikeen were thrown and used that water to irrigate the land. Due to the filth of shikr those trees dies (see pic 2 on the right) When visiting any places and look with an eye of history – we need to look with a heart of understanding and take lessons from these incidents. Jabal e Malaaikha – sandy part is where the angels descended to assist in the battle of Badr photo 3The position of the malaaikah who took part in the battle of Badr are higher that the malaaikah who didnt take part. The highest ranking sahabah arethe Khulafah e Rashideenthe Asharah Mubasharahthe Badriyeen sahabah (those who took part in the battle of Badr)The salafe saliheen mention that if one takes the names of the 313 sahabah who took part in the battle of Badr, their duaas will be accepted. Haaritha ibne Suraaqa asked his mother if he can go to the battle – she reluctantly agrees After the battle his mother enquires about him. Before the battle he walked towards the well and the Muslims thought he was the enemy so an arrow was shot towards him. He was killed. When his mother found out she was disappointed. She went to Nabi Sallallahu alayhi wa salaam and asked him if there was a Jannah for her son. He Sallallahu alayhi wa salaam replied to the effect that her son has many Jannahs. Discussion on @journeytohajj Instagram
